Illegally Puts Terms & Conditions Above Law Rules
I just found out that this casino is illegal for Dutch players. I immediately closed my account and requested a refund of all deposits amounting to €1844.
They were quick to respond and told me that it's a player's responsibility to know whether this casino has a license for the Dutch market or not, which of course is not the case. The casino is not allowed to accept players from restricted countries. I filled in my account truthfully, providing my Dutch address, phone number, and passport, which they verified immediately.
They continue to hide behind the fact that in their "terms and conditions," it states that players are responsible. This is not how it works. Casinos cannot engage in illegal activities and then rely on their terms and conditions as a shield. The terms and conditions do not supersede the law.
*EXAMPLE* I start an online casino, and I write in the terms and conditions that I might steal your money, and you agree (because, of course, you didn’t read it and because you assume the casino is fair). I then steal your money, and when you contact me, I can simply say: "Oh, it’s in the terms and conditions that I might steal your money." Isn’t that ridiculous? Just because I include it in the terms and conditions doesn’t mean it's legal! I can't tell the police, "Oh, but I wrote it in the terms and conditions that I will steal their money." Do you really think the police will say, "Ah, okay, that’s fine, have a good day?" NO! Because it’s illegal.*
I will give them a few days to come up with a decent resolution, and if they do not compromise somehow, I will inform the KSA that they are again breaching the laws and have learned nothing from the €840,000 fine they already received.
Qbet, it’s a fairly small amount that I want refunded, but if you do not budge, I will escalate this to a law firm specialized in illegal casinos. When I do, I will not just pursue my €1844 back; I will ensure that I take you and every other illegal casino you operate to task, and I will make sure that every Dutch person who has lost money at one of your casinos can use my case as a precedent to recover their funds. The Dutch authorities and the KSA are already aware of your practices, so it’s not like I need to jump through hoops to prove anything; they’ve already got you on their radar.
PS. You have my email. I’ve emailed support multiple times on 28-2-2025, and you responded promptly, which I appreciate. However, I will not accept "no" as an answer.
Ciao
